We’ve been meaning to take these photos for years, and I’m so happy the entire family was able to open up their schedules to make it happen! FINALLY! A cancer diagnosis makes you prioritize things like that, I suppose. It’s been wonderful for me to watch how strong my family has been for my Auntie during this time. Cancer sucks… it sucks so bad that I can’t even comprehend it. But I am thankful to witness how loved my Auntie is!! We are on Team Angel!
And family photos are so important. So so so. I will cherish these! Especially the sweet ones with my auntie and uncle at the end of this post. Enjoy! And hug your family!
My goodness this was a beautiful day!
Kyle and Liz took us on quite an adventure… from flying up to San Jose, staying a couple days in Santa Cruz with my husband and son, meeting the wedding party in the Redwood Forest and hiking the trails, to witnessing their ceremony at their home church in San Jose. It was an honor to photograph their day and spend time with their friends and family.
Thanks for the adventure, you sweet kids! And for helping me reach my fitbit step goal 😉
I never knew how enjoyable a hike on a wedding day could be!
Luke is one lovable guy! I had so much fun hanging out at Disneyland and watching him be silly in front of a crowd with major confidence! Not everyone can do that, you know (*clears throat* my husband who hates having his picture taken in public *clears throat*). This was seriously a great day and Luke was awesome!
Seniors are fun
GO CLASS OF 2015! WOO HOO!
A couple weeks ago my handsome husband, Steve, officiated a WEDDING for our friends Alex and Hannah! Their story is such a cool thing to be a part of!
Basically, Alex got a job working for the Starbucks Roastery in downtown Seattle and in a matter of 4 weeks they decided to accept the job, get engaged, married, and move to the city from our small Southern California desert town! Pretty exciting! Their actual engaged time was only 20 days. THESE KIDS ARE NUTS, I TELL YA 😉
Steve and I were able to give them 3 premarital classes in our home in that short amount of time too. It was a crazy and busy February but we were so happy to be a part of it! Steve wrote their entire ceremony (I added in a few jokes) and I snapped a few portraits for them!
Do you watch The Office? Well, you know how Pam went to the doctor because she hurt her ankle at the corporate volley game and while at the hospital she found out she was pregnant? Well… that kind of happened to Sabryna + Kevin! She had to get an antibiotic from a dentist visit and at the doctors office they were surprised with the best news of their life! THEY WERE PREGNANT!
How absolutely special. Enjoy their photos.. and the sweet surprise her husband did for her!

…..and then he surprised his wife with a love note and Tiffany & Co necklace.
CONGRATULATIONS YOU TWO!
You want to know a good way to feel old REALLY fast? Do a senior shoot at your alma mater. Wow. And do one in the morning… because as you drive on campus you’ll feel like you’re late for your French test all over again.
BUT! Besides feeling old (class of 2006 baby!) it was really really great meeting Sam and taking his senior photos! Sam Taylor is the Varsity Quarterback for Silverado High School and has broke MANY records for his team. He has a pretty impressive career behind AND ahead of him, I’m sure!
College acceptance letters…. pssshhhh
Congrats on an awesome football season, Sam! Best of luck of the rest of your senior year!
Kelly and Zach have an even better love story than Zach Morris and Kelly Kapowski. It’s true! These two met as they were bridesmaiding and groomsmaning at their mutual friends wedding last December, hit it off, and got married in December of the next year. BAM!
Enjoy their day!
Some of the best moments of the day right here… the pregnant best man and the add on groomsmen from a different wedding! These people are nuts
It was at this couple’s wedding (below) that Zach and Kelly got to walk down the aisle together… the first time!
His sweet mama asked for a photo with her newly married son and burt into tears instantly! So sweet.
It’s been 3 years since we last did a family shoot and in those 3 short years the Craft and McCartin families added 3 members to the family! Matt got himself a wife and daughter and Kelly and Casey added baby boy Nolan! They also added a couple horses too! 😉
What a joy and honor to watch this loving family grow. Joy & love. I could just say those words over and over to describe them!
What goes on behind the scenes to get the kids to smile… or “fake smile” as Loretta’s parents said 😉
Merry Christmas Tom, Janie, Kelly, Casey, Nolan, Matt, Amy, and Loretta!
