So, it’s actually a pretty funny story. Stacey and I arrived at the Air Force Base for the ceremony and as we are exploring the grounds we stumbled upon a florescent banquet hall BARELY lit at all but lit enough to show off the bright red wrinkled silk table linens and the stark white and red arch above the head table. Oh no… oh no oh no…. we panicked! We tried to be optimistic; we really did. In fact, we laughed and just thought “ya gotta do what ya gotta do!” We were then informed that 2 weddings were happening in the same building, so we decided to check out what the rest of the venue looked like. All of a sudden we dead end at the most BEAUTIFUL atrium with yellow lanterns hanging from the exposed wooden beams resting under the sky roof, moss filled mason jars and tea lights, adorably colorful linens, a cake that smelled as good as it looked, anthrologie monograms, and a happy team setting it all up. I said to Stacey, “Why can’t THIS be OUR wedding?!?” I held my breath and crossed my fingers as I asked one of the vendors who the lucky Bride & Groom were…. turns out, THEY WERE OURS! Oh man did we say our HALLELUJAHS! Plenty of breaths of relief and laughter too.![]()
Veronica was such a pleasant and relaxed bride. She planned and made everything HERSELF and her groom was so proud of her. He couldn’t keep his hands off of her…. but that probably had little to do with the D.I.Y. decor.![]()
I wish you both the VERY best and a big thanks to Stacey for having me!!
