I look at this shoot and I just get HAPPY. It’s everything I love. Sister like friendships, bold style, girlish fun, quirky accents, good food, and just down right PRETTINESS. I talked a bit more about it in my preview post which you can read HERE.
A couple months ago I started envisioning my dream wedding to shoot.I came up with:
Stripes and Polka dots
Breakfast for dinner
Big bows
Fun
Black and white
Girly
Quirky
And I especially knew I didn’t want to play it safe. So, I called Martha and got her on board for make up and hair and then contacted Chantelle. I met Chantelle at a wedding last year and when I found out she designed the bridal gown for that wedding I KNEW I had to work with her someday. Lucky for me she is talented AND beautiful and made for the most perfect bride. She designed her wedding gown and also HAND PAINTED the stripes and polka dots on the dresses. So crazy beautiful. I also told Chantelle that I want the friendships between the bride and bridesmaids to be real and joyful and she immediately knew she wanted Taylor and Kayla to be her girls! What a wise choice that was!
My mother in law, Debbie, is starting a dessert business and specializes in scrumptiously beautiful little desserts! She is extremely talented and I only wish you all could taste her creations… they are all 10 times tastier than they look and they look PHENOMENAL. It’s a win win. She loves when people enjoy their desserts and most definitely loves to please. She was such a joy to work with and we were all amazed by her! {Side note: I am so excited to be a part of her launching her new business! We have started a blog for her and in the next few months we are working on an online order form so (local) clients can easily enjoy Debonair Desserts. She is available for weddings, parties, and just because! } Debbie made a pancake cake for our wedding cake and drizzled it with the most delicious and warm caramel sauce and topped it with crepe roses! That’s right… those roses are edible! And beautiful! She also created a berry tart for the sit down meal with a side of greek yogurt and grapefruit.
Then we enlisted Collette of Brier Rose Design for the floral arrangements and wow. Just wow. She works so hard and definitely DELIVERS the pretty! Not only did she design the most beautiful bright bouquets in an ombre array of coral, she made (ok, her husband made, but still) the oversized succulent box for the centerpiece. The box was full of berries to match the food, succulents, and milk jugs as vases for the bouquets. It was completely darling and I couldn’t stop taking pictures of it!
Thanks to Martha the girls looked EXACTLY how I dreamed them! Fresh faced, rosy, and girly!
I am just happy. So happy. Not everyone gets an opportunity to work on their dream project and I am just so thankful for all the women who came together to help me create mine!! Enjoy!

Our models for the day, Taylor and Kayla, were so much fun to be around!! Completely beautiful, these girls. Inside and out!

I’m really proud of these newspaper utensil pouches I made!

Favors from the bride: Little heart boxes with a DIY friendship bracelet… because every girl needs one!

Taylor Taylor Taylor… this has quickly become my most favorite photograph I have ever taken. Thank you for being so vulnerable, open, and soft in front of my camera. Wow.
And this is probably my 2nd favorite photo!!! Haha!!!
