According to a google search Steve and I are no longer newleyweds. BECAUSE because because we just celebrated our one year anniversary! I can hardly believe it!
It’s been so so wonderful living life with him and realizing that the first year of marriage is way more than sleep overs and gift cards. I wouldn’t go as far as saying it’s been rough, but we have definitely overcome trials together. But, gosh, marriage is wonderful.
One of the best parts of this year together has been shooting weddings together. When I set out to be a photographer I never thought I would be in a husband and wife team. Truthfully, we don’t even consider ourselves as that. I asked Steve to pick up a camera and shoot a wedding with me last summer that was an out of towner wedding. Photographers need assistant shooters and I thought to myself “Why would I spend my time with anyone else if I could be spending it with Steve?” And ever since then he has shot all but one of my weddings with me! It’s been such a wonderful partnership! He is supportive, talented, good to look at, strong, considerate, joyful, and creative… all of which add up to him being an awesome assistant shooter! Besides, it’s fun to sneak in kisses here and there.
I am just blessed by marriage. “I have found the one whom my soul loves”. I’m more than thankful to share my days, meals, arguments, vacations, family, bills, holidays, chores, weddings, home, and life with him. Here are a few “behind the scene” shots I’ve taken of Steve carrying stuff or testing my light! He cracks me up. I love him so much.
photo above: Yes, he has 5 jackets on 5 fingers. Hilarious.
photo below: he’s always noticing fashion faux pas and fixing them! Carol & Ethan’s groomsmen were the best!
Photo above: Me, Kourtney, and J.R. all had to stop and admire how adorable Steve looked holding Kourtney’s bouquet! Hilarious. And he grabbed this shot of me picking avocados for props!
Photo below: Steve looked so handsome at Kate & Jared’s wedding it’s almost impossible to believe.
Ohmygoodness this black and white photo from Monique & Ernie’s wedding is prettydangcool. Reminds me of the photos I love so much from the 1920’s!
He is so silly.
xo for ever and ever!
